PhD position (65%, TV-L E13) “Understanding behavioural factors affecting adoption of sustainable farming practices in Uzbekistan”

The Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) in Halle (Saale), Germany, invites applications for a PhD position (65%, TV-L E13) “Understanding behavioural factors affecting adoption of sustainable farming practices in Uzbekistan”.
The position is to be filled on 1 September 2023, or later. The contract duration is 2 years. An extension by 18 months is foreseen. The successful candidate will conduct their PhD research in the Department of External Environment for Agriculture and Policy Analysis within the BMBF-funded project “Farm Barometer: Better understanding of the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices (UzFarmBarometer)” under the supervision of Dr. Nodir Djanibekov and Prof. Dr. Thomas Herzfeld.
